Expanding on the ABS vs. PETG thread, I'm collecting together information (or links to information) about the relative merits / disadvantages of the various filament types. No one source of information seems to be complete, and some might disagree with each other!

Main take-aways:

• Temperatures on a car dashboard in the sun can reach (nearly) 70ºC when the outside temperature is in the low to mid thirties (such as UK heatwaves);
• Not even HT PLA survived (so I wonder what's the point of it);
• PETG didn't quite survive but is much better than PLA;
• Nylon (PA) withstands higher temperatures than ABS and ASA (oven test).

These guys do this stuff so we don't have to!
