You make some good points on which companies printer to choose... I sure hope the printer rules in the USA dont spread here. We dont need more laws restricting what we can and cant do with our hardware !!

Yes good point about multi-colour on the Anycubic Kobra X. Its currently my fav.
Bambu Lambs A1 seems to have the bigger community and better support.
For Under £350 they both seem get rave reviews.

Im thinking of getting a new beginner printer. .. which of these two would be better ?

Main things id print is cases for electronics and maybe some trinkets for fun etc.

That print came out great, you can hardly see the layer lines !

KIRI Engine looks interesting not something Ive come across. Hopefully it can do the job OP!

I also would suggest Blender. Plenty of youtube tutorials and its free.

Photogrammetry stuff exists but Im not sure its simple enough to get accurate models, thats where LIDAR comes in. Saying that the S20 series had a type of LIDAR and could make 3D models.
