Hi all,
Trying to learn new skills in my retirement (not easy at my age).
Retired 6 years ago, and bought an Anycubic Megazero printer to play with. Had some success with it, but soon realised it was seriously limited by not having a heated bed. A couple of years later I was so fed up with struggling to get prints to stick on the bed no matter what I tried I managed to save up enough to replace it with a Geeetech A20T (not a good decision!) as I liked the idea of multicolour printing. After wasting loads of filament struggling with the awful software that came with it, and the unimpessive hardware, I just boxed it up, put it away in the loft and turned my back on it.
About 18 months ago I decided to try again and got myself a Creality K1 Max. What a difference! Given up on multicolour (for now) but no problems with bed adhesion. Impressively quicker than my previous printers, and seems to be very reliable so far. The 'recommended' software (Creality Print) can be a bit flakey at times, I'd rather be using Cura, but it works fine 90% of the time.
I've got no particular issues at the moment, but any that do crop up I look forward to discussing them here, and getting some hopefully helpful advice!!

Welcome aboard!
I don't understand why, if you would rather use Cura, you don't use Cura? Doesn't Cura have a configuration for the K1 Max?
